Nonprofit Fundraising and Initiative Design
In addition to supporting schools and districts in more than four states across New England, we support civil rights, social justice, and educational equity nonprofits with grant writing, strategic planning, coaching, and additional a la carte services.
For example, it has been a privilege for us to work alongside Legendary Legacies (LL), a Worcester, Massachusetts-based, grassroots nonprofit that provides case management and culturally responsive re-entry services for young men of color who are re-entering or at risk of incarceration.
We have been supporting their team with strategic planning and grant writing; we are proud to say that so far this year, we have already helped them secure over $400,000.
This money went towards:
- launching an initiative with a cadre of community leaders to design a training program for those who wish to become outreach workers
- expanding regional restorative justice training
- starting innovative workforce development programs
- launching a podcast documenting the Legendary Legacies experience and voices of their participants
Over the next few months, we will work together to differentiate their funding streams aiming to be less reliant on government funding and leaning more on the support of private philanthropy. This will allow the organization to grow more fluidly and pursue new opportunities.
